 Tragic Loss! Michelle Trachtenberg, Beloved 'Buffy' & 'Gossip Girl' Star, Passes Away at 39 💔🕊️ In a heartbreaking turn of events, Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her iconic roles in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Gossip Girl," has passed away at the age of 39. 

The beloved actress was found in her New York City apartment by her mother early Wednesday morning. According to police sources, Michelle had recently undergone a liver transplant and was possibly facing complications related to the surgery. 

It is believed that she died of natural causes, with no foul play suspected. An autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause of death.

Michelle's journey in the entertainment industry began as a child star on Nickelodeon’s "The Adventure of Pete & Pete" and "Harriet the Spy." Her big break came when she joined "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as Dawn, the younger sister of the titular character, earning her a Teen Choice Award nomination. 

Just last month, Michelle shared a nostalgic photo with Sarah Michelle Gellar, captioned with, "Slay all day! Always loved this twinning photo of us! #buffy #dawn #sister #womancrushwednesday."

In addition to her success on "Buffy," Michelle made waves on "Gossip Girl" as Georgina Sparks, for which she was nominated as the choice TV villain at the Teen Choice Awards in 2012. She once revealed to Seventeen magazine how much she enjoyed playing the villain, finding it far more fun than being the good girl.

Throughout her career, Michelle graced many television screens with appearances in shows like "Mercy," "Weeds," and "Truth or Scare." She even had a brief arc in HBO's "Gossip Girl" reboot in 2022. Her film roles included memorable performances in "EuroTrip," "17 Again," and "The Scribbler."
