Kim Soo Hyun Breaks Silence in Tears: "I Did Not Date Her as a Minor." Scandal Shakes Korean Entertainment 💔 South Korean superstar Kim Soo Hyun has finally broken his silence, addressing explosive allegations that have dominated headlines and shattered public trust. In an emotional press conference, the 37-year-old actor tearfully denied rumors claiming he was romantically involved with late actress Kim Sae-ron when she was still underage. His voice trembled as he clarified, “Apart from the fact that we were both actors, we were just an ordinary couple like anyone else.” The actor also admitted they eventually parted ways and rarely stayed in contact after their breakup.
The controversy was sparked by a sensationalist YouTube channel known for political gossip, claiming Kim dated Sae-ron while she was still a minor. Though his agency had previously denied this, the public was relentless. The backlash grew louder following Sae-ron’s tragic death in February, just two years after her DUI conviction and fall from grace.
Kim Soo Hyun has now taken legal action, filing a lawsuit for defamation and violation of information protection against multiple parties—including the channel that started the firestorm and even Sae-ron’s family. He also apologized for staying silent at first, citing concerns for his new Netflix series Queen of Tears. His vulnerability was striking: “If you want to criticize me for being cowardly or selfish, I will accept that.”
But the damage was already done. Major brands like Prada and Dinto swiftly cut ties, leaving fans divided and the industry shaken. For a man who built a career on sincerity and charm, the scandal marks a haunting crossroads. Still, some loyal fans believe his side of the story—and they’re waiting to see how this legal battle unfolds.
As investigations continue into Kim Sae-ron’s untimely death and the origins of the leaked messages, the entertainment world watches with bated breath. This is no longer just a celebrity gossip story—it’s a high-stakes battle for reputation, truth, and legacy.
