Neil Gaiman Denies Rape Allegations, Calls Claims a "Sham" 📱 In a shocking turn of events, renowned author Neil Gaiman has vehemently denied rape allegations made by his former nanny, Scarlett Pavlovich. Gaiman, known for his works "Good Omens" and "The Sandman," claims that WhatsApp messages between him and Pavlovich prove his innocence.
The lawsuit, filed in February, accuses Gaiman of repeatedly raping and assaulting Pavlovich while she worked for his family in New Zealand in 2022. Pavlovich also alleges that Gaiman's ex-wife, Amanda Palmer, was aware of the misconduct.
Gaiman has filed to dismiss the suit, stating that Pavlovich's claims are fabricated and that their relationship was consensual. He points to WhatsApp messages where Pavlovich allegedly expressed enthusiasm and initiated many of their encounters. New Zealand police investigated Pavlovich's claims but closed the case without charges in April 2024.
Pavlovich first spoke out about her experience on a Tortoise Media podcast and later in New York magazine, where she was one of eight women accusing Gaiman of assault and abuse.
She described incidents of sexual assault, including one in a backyard bathtub and another in a hotel room while Gaiman's son was present. Gaiman's representatives have called these claims "false and deplorable."
Amanda Palmer took to Instagram to deny the allegations against her, expressing support for all survivors. As the legal battle unfolds, the public remains divided, with some supporting Gaiman and others standing by Pavlovich.
